Personal injury firms race to share umbrella marketing company, InjuryLawyers4U

11 Dec

The criteria, though, are fairly restrictive. InjuryLawyers4U will not take just any upstart firm to share in its no-referral-fees scheme. The selective few must have proven their mettle arguing in defense of a sufficient number of whiplash cases, and sprained ankles. As it stands, the marketing cooperative has 47 firms on its books; more than 250 firms have applied to join the plan, run by Manchester-based firm (UK) Amelans.

Andrew Twambley, senior partner at Amelans and director of InjuryLawyers4U, said: “There’s a great hunger out there not to pay referral fees,” the Solicitors Journal reported.

But, he qualified “We don’t want that many people necessarily… We want seasoned players,  not people who don’t know what they’re doing.”

The only downside is, forming a collective could detract from the variety of personal claims adverts showing on daytime TV. “I am not an actor; this is a true story..” But with a larger funding pool for advertising, could they finally get around to rewriting the script?…umbrella
